"Hysterectomy"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Gynaecology (Ward 49)

(as the patient),

I had an amazing experience at the southern. Every member of staff that I encountered couldn't do enough to help me. I was reassured when I felt anxious prior to the surgery and was made to feel extremely comfortable during my short stay. I am really grateful for this consistent approach and it has made me even prouder of the NHS, that is often trashed in the media. Thanks again and keep up the good work ❤️👍

one thing that could be improved is the communication between consultant and nurses.

Dear Mum4

Thank you for the feedback you have provided. I hope you are recovering well following your surgery. It is great for the teams who strive so hard to provide a high standard of patient care to hear the positive impact this has on their patients. Please see the response below from Cathy Harkins, Lead Midwife.

Thanks

Pam

Dear Mum4

Thank you taking time to provide patient opinion, we are really pleased to hear that you experienced support and reassurance when you attended for surgery which was understandably an anxious time for you. Staff will be pleased to hear your feedback and we will ask them to reflect on the suggestion that the communication between the consultant and the nurses could be improved.

Best wishes

Cathy
