"Caring staff"

About: Castle Hill Hospital

I was assured a bed was available and it was.

I was welcomed and put at ease by caring staff.

I initially was in a four bed room but when I expressed concern about toilet facilities I was moved to a single room with its' own toilet.

Although the staff were clearly over burdened rtey were unfailingly polite and showed sympathy and concern.

The porter was friendly and helpful.

The ward sister gave me confidence and my night nurse was a lovely and comforting in their manner.

The C.T. staff were caring and eager to explain as well as respecting my dignity in a very undignified situation.

I was fully informed about the procedure and what it entailed and warned of the discomfort I would experience and encouraged me throughout.

The slight delay in discharge was caused by the discharging doctor being engaged elsewhere.

An unpleasant experience eased by caring staff.

Peter Hyde.
