About: Dorset County Hospital / Accident and emergency

I arrived at A& E on Maundy Thursday with a suspected heart attack. From the moment

I arrived all staff at all levels lept into action. It was all co ordinated . Everyone who spoke to me explained everything and knew their subject. The tests were completed in good order and I was made comfortable wherever possible. I was passed to CTU where care continued

and I received superior nursing. Change in shifts did not affect quality. The food was good and adequate. .Help was given when required. It was a very busy dept. Staff remained calm.

When I had the angiogram and stent incision ,the only complaint was it was very chilly in the theatre ,but it may be necessary.

My discharge was done with care and sensitivity . Please convey my thanks to all the staff

on my care which has probably saved my life. Sincerely appreciated

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your comments; I have had some technical difficulties when signing in!

It is reassuring to hear that all went well when you were admitted via the Emergency Department and then to CCU. It must have been a very worrying time for you so I am pleased that you found your care to be so good in all areas.

I will ensure that your thanks are conveyed to all the staff involved in your care, and will also pass your comment about the room temperature in Theatre to the Theatre team for their consideration.

I hope that you're now recovering well Roger, and thank you once again for your positive feedback - we welcome any comments from our patients as it is how we improve and build upon the good work we are already doing.
