About: The Princess Royal Hospital / Maternity

Previous review given with regards delivery suite which was fantastic. I was then taken to the MLU post delivery, which was a bit of a mixed experience. Lovely support worker who showed us to the bed and provided us with some food after been up for 44 hours. However after that we had no one come to see us at all. My little boy came who is 4 with his grandparents and he was desperate for the toilet. His grandad went to take him to the toilet,to be told by a midwife very abruptly that under no circumstances can my little boy use the patient toilets and he would need to walk all the way to the entrance to the toilet when he was desperate. After 4 hours I asked the RSW what was happening and can we go home, also who was our midwife? A midwife appeared did the new born check and provided information;stating we could go. Previous to this I asked a midwife for some water who proceeded to walk past me saying they would ask someone; again they were was quite rude.On retuning home 3 days later I had a telephone call from maternity stating I needed to come in for the hearing test as they forgot to do it on discharge .Mixed reviews on MLU,staff were unfriendly and abrupt at times.
