What I liked
The hospital was clean and most of the day time staff were plesant and friendly, very attentive in the transplant intensive care unit.
What could be improved
Once move down to another ward, it becomes increasinly hard to cope with not having more attentive staff, on many occasions, u could press the buzzer and easily be waiting half an hour for help. The day time is ok but the night time staff are very noisy and inconciderate, shouting from one end of the corridor to the other, one night I asked for pain relief I wait 20 minuts to ask a nurse then another hour before i got it. Also the nurses complaining about the work load or being short staffed isnt a plus either some of the night staff generally didnt seem to care.
Anything else?
The food was horrific I was in 4 11 days and I couldnt eat 1 cooked meal I had to stick to tuna sandwiches, food orders were often mixed up.
Overall I felt confident to be in this hospital nlike some others nearer home to me.
With a little tweek here and there like a tv or internet it would be great.
