"Social Inclusion and Wellbeing Service"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Adult Mental Health Services - Community (County)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

The Social Inclusion and Wellbeing Service has been really helpful. I would be lost without my worker. He has helped me with my benefits and finances, getting money refunded from the dentist, filling in forms, such as ESA and bus pass applications. He has helped me find a group to attend – Step by Step for people with mental health conditions – to help with isolation. There is a drop-in group in Hucknall, where you get coffee and biscuits and have a chat, and another group I attend. I feel comfortable talking to my worker. He has helped me stop smoking. Before I had help from the service, I wasn’t bothered about anything. I had even stopped doing my garden. I am now more motivated. My self-esteem has increased. It has made a massive difference to my life. My worker has done everything he can. I would like to say thank you for the chance it gave me.
