"My fantastic care during my home birth"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital

(as the patient),

I had a planned to have a home birth but didn't expect for it to be as seamless and relaxed as it was. This was due to the amazing care I received from the community midwives. They were very supportive at every stage and made me confident in my decision. The midwives that were with me during my labour were lovely and things could not have gone any better for me. I subsequently met several more of the community team and every one of them was lovely and professional. They run a fantastic service and I am very lucky to have been able to have the birth that I wanted thanks to them.

Dear Newmum35

Many congratulations on the birth of your baby and I am delighted to hear how well supported you were to achieve your choices around your birth. It is so important that women's voices are heard and we support all women to achieve (or get as close to as possible) their birth choices. I will pass your feedback onto the community teams.

Jenny
