I was admitted to Cramlington Hospital on 16th April with a hernia problem, initially to Ward 6 and then Ward 15.
The problem was fixed with keyhole surgery on Monday.
I have to say that throughout I was so impressed with the care and attention received from all the staff whatever their role.
I was consulted at all stages and treated with concern and dignity at all times.
The procedural arrangements for checking and double checking everything were second to none.
Everyone appeared to be working as part of a well-coordinated team and all were thoroughly professional.
Such dedication by all concerned to providing an excellent service is so impressive and I cannot thank everyone enough for making every effort to make the experience as comfortable and anxiety-free as possible.
There wasn't a moment when I did not feel in safe hands.
I did speak to a member of the Patient Experience Team during my stay who gave me a contact email and said they would ensure that my any feedback I gave would be distributed to the relevant people.
However, I managed to put the piece of paper it was written on through the washing machine when I got home!
I would therefore be grateful if you could pass on these comments I have made to everyone who is likely to have been involved in my treatment and care from 16th-18th April.
Yours sincerely
Peter Woodward
