"car parking"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Cardiology

I cannot comment on my experience with the hospital as we never got the chance to enter it for the appointment. On arriving at the hospital at 11am today 19/04/2017 we spent 45 mins trying to park.

Out of frustration we had to ring the department to cancel the appointment. The stream of cars like us driving round and round must have been very late or had to cancel their appointments.

Something has got to be done. Its no good keep extending the departments and not building more parking spaces.

It needs a multi-storey.

To experience all that frustration and have to pay a small fortune and the worry of going over your time is not a good experience. Especially if you are not well.

I am sorry that you were not able to find parking when trying to attend your hospital appointment on 19 April 2017.

There are currently 685 pay and display spaces on the Wonford Hospital site. Due to demand, in 2014, 94 staff permit holder spaces were converted to pay and display spaces.

Our space on site is constrained as we are in the city but we are currently reviewing all options to improve the facilities as we are aware that this is one of the initial parts of the patient and visitor experience at the RD&E Foundation Trust.

All options are being considered in the current car parking review including decked car parks and multi-storey car parking options.

Thank you for taking the time to comment.
