I attended the chest clinic and told by the doctor that he had read my records and my history, then proceeded to ask me what my history was?
I felt the appointments was a waste of time, I have a lot of health problems relating to my chest but was discharged ... then diagnosed by my fabulous GP as having a raging chest infection which he is still battling to get under control.
I couldn't see the point of the appointment or what it was meant to achieve, this being the second time I have been discharged from this clinic facing an emergency, on one occasion being discharged then collapsing in the corridor minutes later and rushed to 'resus'!
I was offered admission last week to deal with my ongoing chest infection but didn't have any confidence in the care on offer which is quite worrying.
Patient choice should allow su to choose which hospital we are to be admitted to in these instances.
No pint in complaining ... nothing ever changes!
"Tells me then asks me?"
