I recently attended the Queen Margaret Day Surgery Unit in Fife for a small surgical procedure. The team excelled themselves in patient interaction, made the anxious wait pleasant and were very friendly. S/N Lauren was my main nurse who was very friendly and approachable in answering my queries and helping me to relax preop. She is an asset to have on the team. Many thanks for looking after me.

Dear LF23,

Many thanks for taking the time to give an account of your experience in the Day Surgery Unit. It's great to hear that the team excelled themselves when helping you to feel less anxious before your procedure. As the Senior Charge Nurse it is very reassuring when the high standards you promote is confirmed in this way. It's also lovely when staff get a personal mention about how well they have cared for you, it definately helps to motivate although it is truely all in a days work as we always strive to give quality patient centred care. I will make sure your post is shared with Lauren and all the team involved in your care.
