About: Bassetlaw Hospital / Accident and emergency

I had to take my husband to A&E today because he had a piece of meat stuck in his throat. We cannot fault the care and attention that he was given by all the staff who dealt with him.

Over the six hours that we needed to be there staff were professional, attentive and extremely caring. In particular we want to praise the doctor who explained all the procedures and made sure that we were thoroughly informed as well as involving us both in their decision making. Although it was a rather frightening experience we were reassured by the calm manner of everyone we met including receptionists, nurses and the doctor.
