About: Goring Hall Hospital

Very disappointed that as an NHS patient I was not entitled to an egg for breakfast - how petty minded!

My wife stayed for an evening meal which was very a poor selection and overpriced and we were told afterwards that we had to pay in cash. What is the point of giving in one's credit card details on entering Goring Hall if you then have to pay in cash?

With my knees (4 ) , I was up and walking the day of the operation so I was personally embarrassed that I had 2 weeks of pain which I believe is unusual but I believe this was due to the extra work they did on my hip for which I am very grateful.

I only saw my consultant before being admitted and on the day of my operation. Having had 4 operations on my knees at St Richards where the consultant came in immediately after the operation I was disappointed. However I believe the consultant to be be extremely competent and I am extremely grateful for their excellent work.

Small point but I had to remove one of the metal stices that had been left in!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with the breakfast selections available to our NHS patients’.

I can however confirm that we do offer differing menu choices to our private and NHS patients; both options cover the nutritional needs of our patients but we will look to clarify the situation concerning charges for patient’s preference.

With kind regards

Gary McHardy

Director of Clinical Services
