"Horrible stay"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

I was sent to the a&e department by minor injuries and the staff in a&e were lovely, they helped with my pain as much as they could and got me in to see the gynae when who was free. I was admitted and taken to the ward after waiting 3 hours for a bed to become spare. I was in hospital for 4 days in which none of the doctors agreed with others about what was wrong with me and one didn't even know where the pain was just said it was kidney stones and would send me for a scan. On the second day I had a bad allergic reaction and when my boyfriend came to see me he asked what the reaction could and he nurse said it was most likely him because we weren't safe during sex, which is out of line for a nurse and they had made a judgement that was in fact false. The nurses ignored me half the time and ignored the fact my bp kept dropping and just put me on fluids and never told the doctors. They were rude and refused to get a doctor to look at me when I was in severe pain. The doctors finally agreed on a diagnosis and put me on medication by never tested to see what the fluid in my stomach was especially as my bp kept dropping. I was thoroughly disgusted with the comments of the nurse and the care given. I'm still in severe pain and still have swollen lips and rashes most days where I don't know what the reaction was to.
