What a truly awful service i have received from a The Foulds Suite at Fairfield Hospital. First, i had to battle for my chemotherapy and go through numerous policies to prove it could be prescribed for my condition. The Dr stated that they cannot prescribe the drug, despite having a patient intravenous unit at Rochdale Infirmary that regularly prescribes this to patients.
Then i had an allergic reaction to the chemotherapy as the instructions apparently given by the doctor were not followed, and apparently this was my fault for not telling them. I called the secretary who said i would get a call back. I heard nothing for 5hours and they only decided to inform the Dr as soon as i pushed them for a response.
Contacting the secretary is a nightmare and they like to pick and choose what messages are passes on. I have been passed to 5 different hospitals due to this doctor and am now in a worse condition than before i met them.
This review is based on my experience with a certain doctor and their secretary. I have to say i cannot fault the receptionists, nurses and other Drs and these two members of staff bring this department down significantly. If you have a complex case, this is not the place for you!
