What I liked

I went to A&E minors with my daughter. The staff on Reception were very friendly to both of us and very efficient. The nurse who examined and treated my daughter was excellent, plenty of information and involvement in her treatment. The Radiographer was also excellent, efficient and good at patient interaction. Another patient was waiting for an X-ray but other patients were going in front. The Radiographger fould out what the problem was, got it fixed and told the patient what was happening and how long it would be. Great feedback after a small delay in referral!

The speed of service once seen was excellent and only had to wait1 hour 50 minutes to be seen.

I liked the facility of cooled water in the waiting area.

What could be improved

There were not enough seats for patients in the waiting area and some were perched on the windowsill. There would be room for some more seats on the middle (back to back with the current seats. Some seats with arms would have been good for patients with crutches or walking sticks.

Anything else?

You are in no doubt about the requirement to clean your hands, the signs and alcohol gel are everywhere. Excellent!
