"Mother in law's care journey"

About: Grange View Tameside General Hospital

(as a relative),

My mother in law got admitted into Grange View Intermediate Care centre, after about 1 week her health worsened resulting in her having a stroke, we have now found out she was not looked after properly, she wasn't fed correctly or on one occasion she had not even got any water to drink, the staff kept her in bed at times and never bathed or showered her throughout her stay, I would never ever send anyone there based on her experience, the staff didnt seem bothered to give basic care, when collecting her clothes after she left we found dirty nappies thrown in the wardrobe which she couldn't have put there because she couldn't walk, and dirty clothes also. A few staff seemed caring but some staff didn't at all, absolutely disgusting behaviour by staff when it's supposed to be a rehabilitation center.

Its a relief that she is now in Tameside Hospital where she is receiving excellent care.
