What I liked

The appointment booking and reception staff were fine and the consultant was OK

What could be improved

1) Better time management - I was there for 2 consultation appointments and on both occassions the consultant was running over an hour late - this is wholly unreasonable.

2) On the first ocassion the appointment started with the consultant asking me what I wanted him to do ... I said I wanted him to look at the information of my condition and give me a his assessment of what my options for actions were. It would be good if the notes were read first before asking such a question.

Anything else?

When booking the second appointment I was given a the next available time in the consultant's schedule. When I asked for a letr appointment I was told that the consultant's didn't like having gaps in their diary and be kept waiting for the next appointment - that didn't sit well given that as a patient I had just been kept waiting for over an hour. A little bit more tact would have been good.
