"Going to the chapel"

About: ASD &LD Division / Mackaness

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Mackaness Ward (ASD/LD Pathway)

Being spiritual to me means going to Church. I think the chapel services are a normal length for a church service but could be shorter.

I prayed yesterday for the first time on the ward and I think it helped make me feel better.

The chaplain talks nicely to me which is really nice as we don’t just talk about religious things. It would be good if I saw more of the chaplains.

I would describe the care as 5/10 because there are dangerous situations & I definitely don’t feel safe on the ward. The ground facilities are nice within St Andrew’s & before November I hadn’t been outside so now I am able to go out & enjoy the grounds.

thank you for the feedback, I thin it is fantastic that you like the facilities and you go to the chapel.

I will liaise with the chaplains about whether they can spend more times on the ward.

I am sorry you don't feel safe on the ward, I will feedback this back to the multi-disciplinary team and see what we can do to make you feel safer.
