"I attended the Pulmonary clinic. ..."

What I liked

I attended the Pulmonary clinic. Then on to Pulmonary Rehab for a 6 week course. When I first went on to the course all I wanted to do was die, sooner the better, nothing was going to help me because it was to late. Wrong. PR at MCH gave me a new life with the will to live a real quality lifestyle with COPD. So much so I now go back to each new PR session to let the new people know just what lies a head for them. Just as long has they have the right attitude. I speak to people who have COPD from all over the country and MCH & Kirkby CH are the envy of most of them I here things like. " I have waited well over 12 months to attend the life saving PR" in our erea I believe that we are down to just a 3week waiting list. So for me and a lot of people I know a big cheer goes up for both our Community Hospital and the NHS as definitely got this right, but don't expect to read about it in the newspaper tomorrow. Why because the work at these two hospitals are second to none and good news doesn't sell newspapers. I owe my life to Mansfield Community Hospital and the staff in the Pulmonary Department a massive thanks to everyone. Geof Willers
