"What a wonderful department in an amazing..."

About: Salford Royal / Dermatology

I arrived at the Dermatology Department via the A&E Department. A&E was extremely busy but I was triaged very quickly, given some medication and then seen by a doctor within 4 hours. After this I was transferred to the AEU where I was again seen quickly and after a while a wonderful Dermatologist came in as an emergency and was great. I was given a follow up appointment two days later in the Dermatology Department.

In the Dermatology Dept. I was seen by a doctor who was very impressive, reassuring and expert. They diagnosed my condition, which was later confirmed by the consultant who prescribed a series of medications and a regime of care and gave me a further appointment for 2 days later. I also interacted with receptionists and nurses all of whom were superb - very friendly, caring and professional.

For my follow up I was seen by another doctor who again was very professional and caring and reassured me that I was showing some signs of improvement. Again I have been given a follow up appointment - this time in 7 days. My care was overseen by the consultant.

I am so pleased that I came to Salford Royal as my condition had gone untreated and undiagnosed at another North West Hospital. Without the amazing treatment & care from all the staff within the Dermatology Department at Salford Royal I do not think I would be on the road to recovery from a truly terrifying experience. Thank you to everyone who has helped me.
