Arrived at dept at 6pm as my husband had chest pains, pain in arm and neck, and sweating.
Sign advised that was a 3-4 hour wait and waiting room was full.
Booked in by helpful staff and seen within approx 20 mins by nurse. Nurse arranged ecg, which was slightly delayed as there was no bed available to perform it. Once that was done, we were told blood samples were required.
Sign changed to advise wait time was 4-5 hours at 9pm
6 hours later, at midnight we inquired what was happening to be advised that the team were waiting for the blood test results to be returned. We advised they hadn't taken any as yet.
Bloods taken and advised results back in an hour.
Sign changed from 5-6 hours, there was less than half the people waiting that had been when we arrived, how can wait time double?
At 3am, we asked what was happening, as it was 2 hours after we were advised we would have he results.
Finally saw a dr who advised all was fine.
Surely there should be a basic process or system that's stops the basic being overlooked.
