"Wonderful care in critical care and on ward 515"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

My uncle was extremely ill - dehydrated and delirious, after initially having a very negative experience in A&E he was admitted to critical care. I have to say it was touch and go with my uncle, however the critical care team were so wonderful and dedicated.

The doctor kept us constantly informed and went out of their way to get all of the history about my uncle.

He has now almost recovered - he is on ward 515 and has had psychiatric nurse with him who have been excellent, he is now eating drinking and talking!

I have my uncle back and it is thanks to the wonderful NHS and the teams at QE.

Thank you so much

We are pleased your experience with both critical care and ward 515 was positive and that your uncle is now recovering well. Your kind words will be shared with the senior staff to share with their teams.

We are sorry to hear that you initially had a negative experience in A&E.
