"Consultant and nursing staff first class"

About: Alexandra Hospital

A full hip replacement, three nights in patient. The Consultant, nursing staff and support staff could not have done more. All those involved where responsive, professional and were very sensitive to my temporary dependency. The Physio's deserve a mention as they truly were experienced knowledgable and extremely helpful. The food was particularly good and the service excellant.

The room needed refreshing but the real concern was the parking or lack of. I appreciate that some building work had taken out a small number of spaces but it really was impossible to park at most times. Cars including mine spent most time either on double yellow lines or in none designated parking areas. What really infuriated me most was for all three days 12 parking spaces where coned off to allow a car cleaner to wash vehicles. Who is responsible for permitting such activity given the lack of parking space. Given the competition I would look to other private hospitals before returning this is far from what I expected.
