I left work early today and travelled back to Burton 40 miles in order to carry out a blood test. After eventually finding a parking spot some distance away from the hospital because your car park was over full and walking in the clinic was closed. I called twice on Monday to confirm the opening times explaining my travel distance and to make sure I could get there in good time. Leaving work early and rushing to get there to find it closed is unacceptable. I'm now left with no choice but to forfeit my blood test as I can't get to the clinic in time from work, I can't ask for further time off for the same blood test that may not happen because I have no trust you will be open. This hospital is full of nurses that can carry out blood removal, surely it's in the basic training. This should be the only clinic that would never close. Having a fasting blood test in the afternoon is bad enough. But to get there and the clinic being closed is as I say unacceptable. Bring on the privatisation of these services as they should never be closed.
"Blood test or maybe not !!!!!"
