Having been in treatment for the past 12 years with this service I find you get little help when you want to get into actual treatment (Detox/Rehab).
I have been asking if I can go into inpatient detox and rehab for months and am desperate to get my life back and get off of the substitute that I am prescribed. I have done everything they have asked of me and still I cant get on their waiting list. They take so long with paperwork and their is absolutely no rush to them what so ever. I am in need of desperate treatment. I was told that I would be on the waiting list after being referred to Windmill House but when I called them today to find out where I was on the list I was told I wasn't even on the list at all. This is so disheartening and disappointing when you are desperately waiting for a place. I have tried calling the office multiple times and get no help or just get passed from person to person. I leave a message and get no call back. What do I have to do to get on the waiting list? I understand I will have to wait but at least if I knew I was actually on the list I know that things are moving forward rather than just waiting around not knowing anything. I work full-time and am really struggling with this and don't know what to do next as I'm not getting any information at all.
