Arrived at Tower for day operation yesterday (25/03/17) - found entrance area to be littered with hundreds of cigarette butts despite the clear signage indicating no smoking. For a hospital I find this totally unacceptable. I accept that smoking is an addiction and that in-patients may crave a cigarette but really - in the main entrance. If the no-smoking policy is not going to be enforced (dropping a cigarette butt in a public place can lead to a £60 fine) perhaps the NHS could provide a smoking hut somewhere out of public sight where people may go without creating the eyesore that exists currently.
