"Recent Colonoscopy"

About: Spire Little Aston Hospital

I recently had a colonoscopy procedure at this hospital. To say I was anxious is a little of an understatement.

From arrival to discharge the staff were friendly, caring and attentive.

The only downsides were that I felt everything was a little rushed, when signing my consent form, the possible risks were not explained to me, I was just given the final sheet to sign alongside the comment "do you understand what procedure you are here for and I need your signature here". In addition, in recovery the doctor did not initially come and see me until asked by the nurse, and seemed in a hurry to get back to the next patient who was having the procedure.

But overall it was a positive experience, delivered by caring and dedicated staff, who put me greatly at ease. I would recommend this hospital to friends and family.

One last minor comment, my relative who was waiting in the waiting room mentioned that the floor around the tea/coffee making facilities had a small ant infestation!

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review; we are pleased overall you had a positive experience. We will take a look at our process with the consent form and at our coffee and tea making facilities to ensure there isn’t any unwelcome visitors.

Kind regards,
