"Vascular Surgery @ St Marys"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) / Vascular surgery

My husband had bifemoral bypass surgery 2 years ago and has never had a post op consultation with his surgeon since. The after care has been appalling! He has just last week had major abdominal wall reconstruction surgery to repair a massive hernia. At the time of his vascular surgery he had a very small belly button hernia which the first surgeon put a few stitches in and this was obviously not sufficient resulting in the huge hernia repair which was subsequently needed. The surgeon who performed the hernia surgery has been outstanding. The scar from the vascular surgery was unsightly and broad -25/30cms. Under the care of the surgeon who carried out the hernia repair he has removed the old scar completely and this cosmetic repair is fantastic.

The vascular surgery was in March 2015 but the date selection for review here only goes back to April.
