"Queens hospital PALS Jenny Harper"

About: Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust

My daughter was born 3 months premature in Queens and the level of care that we received was absolutely amazing.

She was in there for nearly 100 days

The NICU staff was compassionate, professional and reassuring

The staff in the patient advisory and liason service was extremely helpful, I wasn't getting any support from my employer and I was feeling immense pressure and they kindly wrote a letter outlining what was happening with my daughter and they finally supported me. Without this valuable service I would of had to resign . I'd just like to thank her and the whole team for this invaluable service

I am delighted to hear about your experience when your daughter was in our Neonatal Unit at Queen’s Hospital. I am so pleased that the staff was so compassionate and reassuring at what must have been an extremely difficult time for you.

It is wonderful to know that our Patient Advice and Liaison Service were able to support you at a time you felt such immense pressure from your employers. I will ensure that your comments are passed on to the Divisional Nurse for the Neonatal Unit and Head of Patient Experience, in order that they can share this with their staff.

Yours Sincerely

Kathryn Halford

Chief Nurse
