"Emergency admission"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Accident and emergency

As a health professional of some 40+ years it was my misfortune to suffer ill health this week that necessitated calling a front line ambulance for treatment and assessment at RBH.

Something that I have never had to do before.

I received the most excellent care from the two paramedics that assessed and treated me at home , they were extremely knowledgeable and professional , I felt in safe hands.Thankyou.

At RBH A&E dept, every member of staff introduced themselves, acted with kindness, explained procedures, displayed humour and empathy.

I couldn't fail to notice this was a common theme to all their patients .

The staff I met were an absolute credit to their profession and the NHS as a whole .

The ward clerk , porters and ancillary staff were amazing .

I felt humbled to receive such excellent care .

Thankyou to each and everyone of you .
