I have just returned home following a 5 night stay in RLI where I underwent selective hernia repairs.
It is only when you go in with your eyes open that you realise just how awesome the process is..
7.15 saw me in the admissions lounge being "processed", meeting the anaesthetist. meeting the surgeon.
8.00 into anaesthetics ready for processing.
After that things go fluffy / blank! 14.30 arrive at recovery, hello world.
20.30 arrive in the High Dependency Unit, great care, one to one staffing, good food.
2 days later, suitably recovered and moved on to Ward 33.
Again, great care, food and staffing including personal service fro a Stoma Nurse.
The staff working at RLI should be very proud of their achievements.
Most will say they are only doing their job.
Perhaps so, but at still behoves us as users to say thank you, thank you a million times over from the bottom of our hearts.
Well done to the whole team - cleaner to consultant - all are essential members of the team
"Awesome"
