What I liked

Overall friendliness and willingness of all staff - nothing too much trouble. Good pain control when necessary. This is my second hip replacement and I am very grateful - my Xray made me laugh my hips looked like robots - but without any pain. Marvellous! I did not have both hips replaced at the same hospital - however I was practically off crutches two weeks after the operation this time - thanks very, very much. Just for the record I am 76 years of age

and was feeling more my age when I came in for the op but now I feel years younger again! Raring to go but being sensible at the same time.

What could be improved

Food not too brilliant - breakfast cereals swimming in milk instead of leaving the choice to the patient. However only in for three days post operatively so hardly had time to experience full menu and I do know how difficult to cater with severely restricted budgets.

Anything else?

The policies operated in this hospital are the right ones I think for the well being of all concerned - no worries about contracting those awful infections! Marvellous - and long may it contimue.
