"very poor service by Doctor"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

The doctor simply cannot be asked, really poor service and lack of patient care. The doctor doesn't care about patients and their thyroid function. My meds need to be adjusted every month while I can't get the doctor to let me know the dosage. How can I wait for more then a month for the doctor to reply, which they don't even after chasing it numerous times with their secretary!

My GP needs to amend my dosage but he is not confident in doing so. Very disappointing. I have been struggling with the doctor for months. I will be making formal complaint.

Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your concerns about communication between the hospital and your GP

The events that you describe re having to ‘chase it with the secretary’ are not our usual standard and were clearly very frustrating for you, please accept my sincere apologies.

Your concerns do warrant further investigation but whilst your contact remains anonymous this is difficult to investigate.

In the first instance I would suggest that you contact our PALS service who may be able to help you in touch with senior managers who can discuss your concerns with you.
