"Missing headphones"

About: Sandwell General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was admitted to hospital for 2 days I couldn't walk was in severe pain with my back. I was on crutches & I was told I could go home so I got all my belongings together & put them on my bed & waited for my husband as I couldn't carry the bag myself.

I went over to the desk outside our room to get my painkillers & ask them to let my husband in. I was away for a few minutes. When I went into my bag my headphones had been stolen.

I immediately called the ward who said oh it must of been one of the patients & I knew that there's no way it could of been. All 3 couldn't get out of bed & there wasn't any visitors there so that was impossible & I also know no one else apart from staff was in the room.

A nurse from an agency sat with a elderly lady right opposite my bed so she would have definitely saw someone by my bed because she was in the room when they went missing. I'm disgusted that people who you trust can do this. The headphones cost £150 & are used for my autistic son.

The hospital haven't even replied to my phone calls or messages. I have got the police involved & hope they can find out who did this & make sure they don't do it again.
