What could be improved

I have not even managed to get to this hospital yet as the appointments system is so unbelieveable unhelpful.

After being reffered by my doctor I called the hosipital to make an appointment, as my doctor advised, with my ID and password. I was told that I could not 'make' an appointment and would instead be sent one.

I cannot believe patients are just expected to be able to turn up at a date and time plucked out of thin air. People are obviously going to have other commitments. This system is a recipe for disaster.

So, I have received my appointment, 10 weeks after I visited my doctor. Unsurprisingly I cannot attend on this date - I am actually out of the country - and have now been told that this appointment will have to be cancelled and I will be put through the system again and then in another 10 weeks I can go through all this again.

Someone is calling me back. Apparently.
