"I sat and waited for an hour and ..."

What could be improved

I sat and waited for an hour and 15 minutes to be seen for my appointment due to "3 new patients being booked in". This is not my problem so if this is the case would it not make sense to get another dr in to help?

Also as the booking section was shut when I left I had to slip my appointment sheet under the shutter. As I normally get another appoinment through within a couple of days I wondered why nearly 2 weeks later I had not received an appointment. I rang the booking centre number and was told that they did not have it. I then tried West Berks hospital who told me to ring the booking centre. I explained what had happened and that my booking sheet was somewhere in the booking desk but as there was nobody there (on about 3 different numbers that were tried) I was told to try the booking centre again. Useless is my answer and very unhelpful people!

Anything else?

More staff needed for appointment times and also more people to answer the phones!
