What could be improved

I had surgery to repair a macular hole. Unofrtunately the wrong gas was injected into my eye and I had to have further surgery three weeks later. Despite repeated requests I have not been told how the mistake came about.

Anything else?

There were so many basic mistakes: nurses not washing their hands prior to instilling eye drops, failing to make sure I had a meal following surgery, staff who were rude and patronising to frail elderly patients, I could go on and on. Instead I went to Moorfields
