"Operation wait time"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5)

(as a relative),

my mother had knee replacement about 14 years ago now and she requires a reconstruction on the same knee, this was diagnosed last April.

My mother is still waiting on this operation to take place and still no confirmed date as to when this will take place.

Over the past year my mother has had no quality of life and has fell into a depression.

I have contacted the hospital numerous amount of times and explained the situation, my mother is 75 years old but very independent and has good health but my fear is waiting on this operation she has went right down hill, she just wishes she could have this knee operation asap so she can get her mind set for recovery and be able to walk again..
