What I liked

Genuine interest in my condition . The consultant is a calming, authorative and very compassionate individual, engendering trust and credibility

What could be improved

General quality of hygeine and the waiting room is abhorrant..grease marks from peoples heads leaning back in chairs ...horrible!

The young interns, working under the Consultant's direction, are mixed in their experience and need to practice their 'bedside manner' a lot more - they are either over familiar/cheeky or nervous/fumbling. Neither provide the assurance needed when they are about to perform a procedure on your mouth!

Thank you for your feedback about the environment at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. I can confirm that the Associate Director has met with the Estates Department to review all waiting areas to agree a plan for improvements.

Your comments about the Student Dentists will be passed to the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry for information.
