"Stroke ward"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

I've been an inpatient for a few nights and the care and detail all the staff are providing is excellent. Thankfully I've not had a stroke and my care has been minimal but anything I've needed has been done quickly even though they are understaffed and rushed off their feet. At the moment a young staff member is scratching a ladies back because she's got an itch! How caring! They are constantly coming around turning bed ridden patients and giving them drinks, washing them - and just asking how they are. After all the negativity and bad reports regarding the NHS at the moment it's about time all the hardworking staff had some positive feedback. Thanks everyone on B2.. .you're doing an amazing job! X

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding your admission to Ward B2 at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and thank you for taking the time to do so.

It is lovely to receive such positive feedback about the staff and the care provided.

I will ensure your comments are passed onto the team who will be delighted to receive such wonderful feedback as they always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care.

If you would like to provide us with further information about the care provided then we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and services.

You can either contact me (Melissa Almond) on 01254 734087 or by email at patientexperience@elht.nhs.uk.

Thank you again for commenting and best wishes.
