"Nothing was too much trouble for them"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham / General medicine Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was transferred to ward 517 after spending a week on critical care recovering from a 5 hour operation for a double inguinal bypass and also renal failure. I can only comment on how absolutely brilliant the staff on critical care and also ward 517 were with me. They were very kind and caring and nothing was too small or too much trouble for them All of the after care procedures were in place along with leaflets and telephone numbers in case I needed any help at home. If it hadn't been for the vascular team I would not be here today - 20 months later, as they fought to get an operating theatre for me and worked through the night to save my foot, my leg and my life.

Thank you all so much X
