Admitted to St Mawes as an emergency
The ward appears well run and friendly staff work well together. I was on the ward 2 days and although I saw the bins emptied regularly I did not see floors cleaned or curtains changed in between patients. I do think there should be more choice of sandwiches in the evening: tuna or egg only and I do think that when patients miss meals when off the ward or nil by mouth food should be available . An elderly man opposite told the mitie person twice he could not eat the bread and was given soup. He needed assistance to eat this which didn't arrive.
