"Parking at Crosshouse"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as a friend),

My wife to-day was trying to visit a friend at 13-45 pm. she drove for about 15 mins. and give up in the end. This apparently a very common problem I cannot understand why they do not make really large car park and do what the car parks at the airports do and provide a small shuttle bus to transport visitors and staff to the hospital. I think people would be happy pay a reasonable charge for the service.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear TIRED OF TRYING,

I am really sorry you found it so hard to park. I know parking used to be a huge issue but after the Combined Assessment Unit building was completed, it seemed to be a lot easier. Other things that helped was the introduction of long and short stay parking and of course our car park warden.

We now have the front door area being re-modelled and the Simpson Street properties being demolished which is clearly having some impact on available spaces. I know this does not help to solve the problem but may give you an understanding as to why it has become more difficult to park again.

However, I will pass your comments to the team responsible for their reflection and consideration. Thank you so much for being in touch. I do hope you are luckier next time.

Kind regards,

Eunice
