My daughter has been under the care of Cavendish house for a while now but unfortunately it has been extremely frustrating. Nearly all her dealings have resulted in stressing her out almost to breaking point. Every time she rings to try and get an appointment she is told she cannot see anyone or speak to anyone. On two occasions she has ended up going to A&E , the first time she was told to ring the following day and book an appointment only to be told when she tried she couldn't have an appointment and after ring a couple of times I accompanied her in person to Cavendish house to try and get the appointment she was told to make only to be met with no help and no appointment we ended up back at A&E and when we actually saw someone they informed us that she had an appointment booked which that had brought forward but no one could explain why she had never been told about the appointment and why every time she rang no one could or would help her. She never even got a phone call even though she was promised one.
She has since seen someone been assessed and offered a place on a programme which was supposed to start in February but has not heard anything. She has tried to find out what is happening but as normal no one can tell her anything or help her. She has been struggling a bit and again has tried to get an appointment to see someone and again has been told she can't . We were under the impression when she was assessed in December 2016 that she wouldn't be just left without any support but unsurprisingly this is what has happened not quite sure what to do next really but I can safely say I really do not think that this is the way a person with a mental health problem should be treated .
