"Wonderful care and attention I received"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I was in airport building at Glasgow airport when I lost conciousness my wife asked for assistance a first aider came got me into recovery position and sent for ambulance, The crew arrived checked me over and took me into A@E at the Royaln Alexandra by which time I was awake as they had given me oxygen, I immediately received wonderful attention every test required including checking my records with my own doctor blood tests heart checked, the nurses were very kind and efficient and Doctor Raymond on duty explained what had happened also checked driving and possible air travel. I was not able to continue my holiday but it has given me a better story to tell of the wonderful care and attention I received from the ambulance crew the nurses and doctors also the consultant. I can only say thank you.

Dear Skyman

I am extremely sorry to hear of your recent illness. It must have been a frightening experience for you and your wife. What stood out for me about your story was the joined up care you received, from the first aider at the airport, then the ambulance crew and finally the medical staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Thank you so much for your kind words about everybody who was involved in your care and I do hope that you are recovering well.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

Take care

Martin.
