"Emergency Admission into A&E"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was taken into Stoke Mandeville Accident & Emergency after having a seizure at work. The paramedic staff were absolutely amazing but once I was transferred into the main A&E area, the BHT staff who wheeled my bed had a slightly uncaring tone to their voice and it seemed as though I was a burden to be there, which I found rude. Other than that, the doctors and nurses were amazing and I couldn't ask for better care

Dear Anonymous

I am sorry to learn that you were brought into the A&E deparment at Stoke Mandeville Hospital following a siezure at work and I can understand how worrying this situation must have been for you. Therefore, it is pleasing to read that you feel the paramedic staff were absolutely amazing.

However, I am disappointed to read further that, although you feel you could not have asked for better care from the Nurses and Doctors who treated you, you have concerns about the attitude of the BHT staff who wheeled your bed.
