"I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect"

About: Solihull Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

I was seen in the Breast Clinic today less than 2 weeks after referral from my GP. I was told extra weekend clinics had been organised to ensure women were seen in time.

From the moment me and my husband went it, we could not have had a better experience, everyone we saw was wonderful, I was an anxious, nervous wreck but all the staff did their utmost to put me at ease.

I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, quickly, professionally and courteously, everything was explained and I could not have received better care anywhere.

I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's name as I was so anxious but the Consultant I saw was Mr Farooq and I can't thank him (an absolute gentleman) and his team enough.

Thank you so much for your post regarding your visit to the Breast Unit at Solihull Hospital. I'm so pleased to read that your appointment was issued quickly following your 2 week referral from your GP, and that from the moment you arrived, you found that all of the staff did their very best to put you at ease, as you were understandably nervous and worried. It is lovely to note that you were treated with dignity and respect with a professional and courteous manner throughout, and that you feel you could not have received better care anywere!

I will be delighted to ensure that your post is shared with Mr Farooq and all of the Breast Care Team who work very hard to provide a supportive service to our patients.

I hope my actions are acceptable and once again thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, it is very important to us.
