Watford General Hospital;
This is without a doubt the worst possible place to receive treatment.
I have never experienced a poorer service / treatment from any other medical establishment.
From doctors not turning up for appointments to 6 hour waits for blood pressure to be taken. From lost test results to an intimate vaginal examination being performed next to a wide open window.
Recurring infections detected and nothing prescribed...?
Incompetent and rude staff. (Very few to start with) Poor communication, lack of consistency with ongoing care.
I am shocked and appalled at how I have been treated at this hospital through 9 months of pregnancy. To the point of not wanting to contact the hospital with serious concerns as the hassle is too much, And the way you are spoken to makes you feel terrible for calling. (I have previously been moaned at for calling triage with an urgent query as they were busy..?! And told to call after 5pm when the MDAU were closed) I have witnessed other patients being treated just as badly. I have never been in this hospital for less than 3 hours for simple routine appointments, where I am seen by a different doctor every time who has no idea of my medical history or conditions. In 9 months I have seen my own consultant ONCE. A consultant who works once a week so is un contactable.
The stress from attending this hospital causes more problems than most reasons to attend.
The 'Inadequate' Rating from CQC is generous.
This place has genuinely ruined my pregnancy and put both myself and baby in danger through wrongful diagnosis and ignoring patient concerns.
After a previous late miscarriage at this very hospital due to similar discrepancies I was reluctant to attend here again but there is no other choice for maternity.
I am fearful for mine and my child's life once I go into labour at this ridiculous place.
Awful awful experience every time I attend.
"Ridiculous."
