"Triage of Maternity Clinic"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital / Maternity

Today at 8:15pm I arrived at Triage the emergency service where care should be provided to any pregnant women with medical attention. However, today I was denied a check-up by the midwife covering the night shift, in fact every time any pregnant women needs medical attention the suggestions from all mdiwifes is to go to Triage, but the reality is other, once you enter Triage the midwifes are in a bad mood, even angry because you require their services.

Today (I rushed to the hospital after work) to be checked-up as I've been feeling dizzy and with headaches that could be a indication of a serious condition in pregnancy (preclampsia).

The midwife asked why I've been taken any paracetamol, but if something is wrong with my body and I don't want to take medicines to not harm my baby, then they decided not to even check my blood pressure or a urine test that takes not more than 5 minutes to do it.

They weren't even busy, no other women were in the waiting, all their excuses were to send me home without providing any service.

I'm extremely frustrated and still worried that something is going wrong with my health. I cannot believe how a midwife can deny a check-up to a 30 weeks pregnant woman.

Something is going really bad here. It's been a constant in Whipps Cross Hospital in specific the maternity service that many midwives seem to be horrible with people.

I wonder why this unprofessional behaviour is allowed in a hospital.
